  • 100 g chopped almonds or hazelnuts



Preparation Steps:

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 160°C (320°F) and lightly grease a loaf pan.

  2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine both types of flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Prepare the wet mix: In a saucepan, gently heat the milk, honey, brown sugar, and spices until the mixture is smooth. Let it cool slightly.

  4. Incorporate the wet ingredients: Beat the egg into the cooled wet mix, then gradually pour this mixture into the dry ingredients. Gently stir until you have a smooth batter.

  5. Add the topping (if desired): Fold in the chopped almonds or hazelnuts for a crunchy texture.

  6. Baking: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake in the preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Cooling: Let the gingerbread cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.*
